College Park gets its name because of the neighborhood's location near Coastal Carolina University. To find College Park travel South on Highway 501 and take a right on Carolina Road. The College Park neighborhood consist of all the single family homes back in that location. There are two main sections of College Park. North of Carolina Road are the homes off Juniper Drive. These homes offer smaller home sites, single story ranch style homes mostly with one or two car garages. Many of the homes in this location were constructed in the mid 90s, and makes a great location for your college student or possibly a long-term rental. To the south of Carolina Road the home sites and the homes are typically larger, more custom in nature and fetch a higher price. Still these homes offer great prices and make for good student housing or rental.
Other great places in the area to consider purchasing a place for your college student while living in the Myrtle Beach area, Castlewood and West Ridge are a couple of other good options.
