Market Common Home Values

Market Common District

Market Common is the upscale shopping and live/work community located on the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and has become the most desired area for living along the Grand Strand. New homes are the majority of real estate selling in the Market Common District and many single family and townhome communities are being offered. There are still a few older developments that were on the Air Force Base well before Market Common was ever developed. These communities are the former airbase housing which is now called Seagate Village and the townhome community of Windsor Gate which is tucked away between Horry Georgetown Technical College and the city "Bark Park". The housing environment of the Market Common area is a thriving part of the Myrtle Beach real estate market.

The shops of Market Common opened in 2008 and offers some of the most well known shops and restaurants available anywhere. Some of the more popular restaurants are Travinia, PF Changs, and Gordon Biersch. Some of the well knows shops and boutiques that Market Common offers are Williams-Sonoma, Tommy Bahama, Victoria Secret, Barnes and Nobles and the new CitiMac Apple Store. There are several parks in the area, great sport fields, the VA Clinic and Horry Georgetown Technical College. There is something for everyone in the centrally located area of Market Common in Myrtle Beach.

As stated above, the buzz in the Myrtle Beach new homes market is the area known as Market Common. Lennar built the new homes community of Emmen's Preserve. Highlands at Wither's Preserve is the DR Horton community located only blocks from the ball fields and closer to Crabtree Gym and other Market Common facilities. The Charleston Style low-country homes located just steps from the Market Common community is the community of Sweetgrass Square and is offered by Dockstreet Communities. Beazer is developing a small community close to Emmens Preserve with nearly 150 home sites. Cresswind, a new homes senior community is growing in the Market Common district. The real estate market in Myrtle Beach is hot and the Market Common new home communities are at the forefront of homes selling in the Myrtle Beach area.
