Little River is located in the most northern point of the “Grand Strand” and actually is the oldest town in Horry County. Little River is also know for it's annual “Blue Crab Festival,” which attracts locals and visitors for miles. Many locals and tourists enjoy seeking a little excitement on the Las Vegas style casino boats that leave port on a daily basis. The casino boats leave twice a day for international waters where gambling is legal, and offer gambling, entertainment, dining, and a scenic view.

Previously, the town of Little River consisted of smaller homes resembling a little fishing village. In more recent times, however, Little River has begun to grow exponentially with the development of many single family homes in the area.
