The area known as Little River, originally started out as a quaint little fishing village just about North Myrtle Beach near the North Carolina border. Little River is located in the most northern point of the “Grand Strand” and actually is the oldest town in Horry County. This town is known for its relaxing atmosphere, great, local seafood, and offshore fishing charters. Little River is also know for it's annual “Blue Crab Festival,” which attracts locals and visitors for miles. Previously, the town of Little River consisted of smaller homes resembling a little fishing village.
